Reina Hispanoamericana 2022 was the 31st edition of the Reina Hispanoamericana pageant held in Santa Cruz, Bolivia on 25 March 2023. Reina Hispanoamericana 2021 from Mexico Andrea Bazarte crowned Arlette Rujel of Peru as her successor at the end of the event. This was the first time in the history of the pageant that Peru won this international pageant. Overall twenty-nine delegates competed at the grand coronation event where three countries made their debut Equatorial Guinea, Germany, and Italy. Miss Philippines Ingrid SantamarÃa was the Facebook Fan vote winner voted by the pageant fans which gave her direct entry to the Top 14 semi-finalists. Miss Peru Arlette Rujel Virreina gave a flawless performance wearing the pastel pink evening gown by impressing the panel of judges and became victorious on the final night. Meanwhile, Miss Venezuela Adriana Pérez was awarded as Hispanoamericana 2022 (1st Runner-Up) respectively.
Here is the winning answer of Miss Peru during the Top 6 Question and Answer Round:
The jury José Castro asked Arlette, how would you use the title of Hispanic American Queen 2022 to address the problems that women in our countries continue to face in the fight for equality? To which she replied: Although feminism has indeed fought against machismo and so much patriarchy so that women have the benefits that we now have, it is true that there is still a lot to work on. I, as the Spanish-American queen, would work hand in hand with the organization to carry the message to all of the Hispanic American women are capable, we are strong, and we can do whatever is proposed to us; For this reason, we deserve respect, equality and, above all, justice.
