Miss Universe Guatemala National Costume - "Immortal Guatemala - Jaguar of the Americas"

"Showing the world the beauty of Guatemala, a country that has 3 thousand years of cultural wealth" In the framework of the National Palace of Culture, which is identified as the symbol of the City of Guatemala and the country in its architectural context monumental. This costume is a representation of iconic elements of the country, the Mayan calendar, the pyramid of "The Great Jaguar," the jade. On the back is the universal symbol of Mayan culture, the jaguar. Solomonic columns adorn the costume, highlighting the national flower "Monja Blanca", surrounded by leaves of the national tree, the Ceiba Pentandra".
Within modern art stands one of the most important works of the artist Efrain Recinos, the National Theater of Guatemala. It includes the marimba, which adorns the bottom right of the costume that celebrates the richness and splendor of an immortal Guatemala. The costume is complemented by a carpet that represents the Lenten fervor of Guatemala at the Mayor Week, which was recently declared "Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity" by UNESCO.
